What is Kybella?

Kybella’s principal active ingredient is synthetic deoxycholic acid, a substance that naturally occurs in the body, helping break down and absorb dietary fat. When Kybella treatments are injected into the fatty area under the chin, the deoxycholic acid interacts with the body’s natural production of the chemical and destroys fat cells. 

The result of Kybella injections are noticeable reduction in fat and submental fullness. Cells eliminated by the Kybella treatments can no longer store or accumulate fatty tissue.  Once fat cells are destroyed, they are destroyed for good.
